Alfa Romeo D.N.A. System
3 drive settings, 3 steering wheel styles, 3 types of road behaviour. Alfa MiTo DNA
The new MiTo is the first Alfa Romeo car to benefit from the Alfa D.N.A. system, an innovative device that modulates the main driving parameters (engine response, stability control and power steering).
Until now the exclusive preserve of racing cars or supercars, the Alfa D.N.A. system acts on the engine, brakes, steering, suspension and gearbox, allowing three different vehicle behaviour modes based on the driving style best suited to the situation or the customer's wishes: supersporting (Dynamic), town driving (Normal), maximum safety even in low grip conditions (All weather).
Dynamic Sheer fun and sportiness at the wheel
| VDC & ASR | Less intrusive ESP VDC and ASR - Electronic Q2 activation |
| Electric Power Steering | Sportier tuning |
| DST | Standard braking control coordinated with ABS Greater control of lateral acceleration. Compensation for oversteering: A slight steering wheel pulse prompts the driver to perform the correct manoeuvre. |
| Engine | Faster response |
Normal Nimble around town
| VDC & ASR | Standard setting |
| Electric Power Steering | Normal tuning |
| DST | Standard braking control coordinated with ABS Standard control of lateral acceleration. Compensation for oversteering: A slight steering wheel pulse prompts the driver to perform the correct manoeuvre |
| Engine | Standard response |
All weather Maximum road holding on low-grip surfaces
| VDC & ASR | More intrusive VDC |
| Electric Power Steering | Normal tuning |
| DST | Better braking control coordinated with VDC Standard control of lateral acceleration. Compensation for oversteering: A slight steering wheel pulse prompts the driver to perform the correct manoeuvre |
| Engine | Standard response |
VDC - Vehicle Dynamic Control, ASR - Anti Slip Regulation, DST - Dynamic Steering Torque
